After working in data analytics in the Philippines, Gelanie now has spent nearly 12 years as a domestic helper in Hong Kong. As a single mother, she pursued overseas work to provide for her son and support her siblings’ education, later finding inspiration to continue her own studies. Despite juggling two full-time jobs and facing overwhelming workloads, she persevered through discipline and the encouragement of family and peers. This degree brings her closer to her dreams of becoming a teacher, starting a business, and building a future where she can finally be with her son and loved ones.
