Febie worked for over 5 years as a production worker in the Philippines before becoming a domestic helper in Hong Kong. Motivated by the hardships her fisherman father faced in supporting six children, she pursued overseas work to help her family rise from poverty. Despite long hours and limited rest, she managed her time to balance work and studies, determined not to be left behind as her siblings entered college. Completing her degree gives her confidence to aim high as she dreams of returning to the Philippines, pursuing a master’s degree, and becoming a teacher.
