Alma already graduated in Computer Programming and Information Technology before leaving the Philippines in 2005 to work as a domestic helper abroad. She pursued overseas work to provide financial stability for her family. At 42, she pursued a second degree to open doors to new opportunities and to increase her earning potential. Despite the exhaustion from long work hours, she remained motivated by her son’s support. Completing this degree represents resilience and sacrifice, reinforcing her belief in education as a pathway to growth and empowerment.
